The Thursday Threesome

Today's post comes to you (with limited commercial interruption) from Dan and .

::"Sasquatch" and "Haunted Homeland"::

Onesome: Sasquatch-- Big Foot? Yeti? "Harry and the Hendersons"? Maybe? No way? Sure, we have the entire family over for dinner every Thanksgiving? Whaddaya' think?
I'm keeping my mind open. I think "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." There are parts of the earth and ocean that have never been explored, so who really knows? I like to think we don't know everything there is to know about our world.

Twosome: and Haunted-- It's All Hallow's Eve next week; are you haunted by little creatures in your neighborhood extorting goodies from you? ...and do you do your part to provide an entertaining experience for them? ...or do you lock the doors, kill the lights and hide from the horde?
We have to be out of town this Halloween...but I normally have goodies to give away. There are so few kids in our neighborhood though and the ones that are normally go into town to church festivals/the mall/etc.

Threesome: Homeland-- ghosts and spectres: do you have any local stories of 'haunted' places. ...or are there roads you grandmother told you to never travel alone, especially when the moon is full? Just askin'...A long time ago, on I-75, as you passed under an overpass, there was a "screaming" noise. The story went that a newlywed couple had an accident there on the morning after their wedding and the girl died... it was her screaming we heard. The story... it was true. At Least We Were Married tells the story of the accident. I was in school when it happened and remember the news reports in the paper. It was very sad. The screaming? Probably a fault in the asphalt, but who knows?

And, for your procrastination pleasure, stolen from Miss Snark, who stole it from BookDaddy, a way to waste time and still be productive. Make your own Jackson Pollock. I did and I might even frame it! Unfortunately, I accidentally closed the page before saving it (but not before printing it!!!). Maybe I'll scan it for you... or maybe not. Who knows?!?! Anyway... have fun.

Cliffs of Moher

Today's post comes courtesy of Question of the Day. Thanks, Indigo!

If you could stand at the pinnacle of any natural object or man-made structure, what would it be?

The beautiful Cliffs of Moher Posted by Picasa

Without a doubt, I would go back to the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. I first experienced the wonder of these when I was in Ireland researching "Kathleen" with Lianne. I found the cliffs to be one of the most awe-inspiring locations I've been. One day, DH and I will make that trip together. And, I can hardly wait.

Also, thanks to Wystfull1 for the following Halloween quiz.

"A spooky hallowe'en quiz!"

You're a cat - the sexiest halloween symbol. You're very laid back about the whole thing but you feel most comfortable at this time of year. you'll do anything for a treat!

Tuesday Twosome

I just found a new "meme,"... new to me that is. Play Tuesday Twosome with me.

1. Two things you procrastinate the most about: my writing (as all my writing friends know and cringe about) and laundry. I don't mind the washing and drying, but sometimes I put off folding. I've found putting the clean clothes on my bed helps some with that!!!

2. Two things that take priority in your time management: my family and our business.

3. Do you usually arrive on time or late?ON TIME... I can't stand going in anyplace late... it really bothers me.

4. Do you get annoyed when other people arrive late or you really don’t care?It depends on what they are late for... if it's a dinner at my house, I care... because I try to make sure everything is done at the right time. Now, when we have a party I normally do an open house so then it doesn't matter.

5. What two things would you change/delete about your daily schedule in order for you to have more “down” time?Sleeping??? Seriously, I don't know of anything I would change or delete. Everything I do now, I do because I want to. I would like more time for my writing... and I just need to grab the moments I can.

Friday Feast One Hundred & Fourteen

It's late today... but at least it's still Friday. Click here to play Friday's Feast.

Name a song you know by heart. I was a preschool teacher for years and homeschooled before that, so I know a LOT of kids' songs. One that comes to mind right off the top of my head was "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly." Yeah, I know it's a book, but there's a song as well.

What will you absolutely not do in front of another person? Well, I can think of one thing that (since I was old enough to know better, anyway) I've never done in front of anyone else... but I'm not sure we want to discuss it!!!

How often do you use mouthwash and what kind do you like? every day... normally the blue scope.

Main Course
Finish this sentence: I am embarrassed when... I do stupid things.

What was the last food you craved? salt and cracked black pepper Cape Cod potato chips.

Monday Madness

Play Monday Madness. The questions today come from Monday Madness participants. Hop over there and check their sites out.

1. From amanda f:
What do you do when somebody complements you?

a. Smile and say Thanks

2. From shelly:
What color are your eyes?

3. From kia:
What do you like most about yourself?
I'm a nurterer and compassionate. I think those are the things I like most about myself. Of course, I have great eyes and hair (I sound like a horse, don't I?)

4. From julie:
How do you spend Christmas?

With as much as my family that can come down here. My mom normally comes over and all the kids that can come home for Christmas. We have a big feast... but first we open presents (when the kids were little, stockings could be opened first thing, but they had to wait until after Christmas to get the wrapped presents). Then we usually watch a Christmas movie in the afternoon.

5. From wide imagination:
When do you normally blog? Day or night?
It usually works out that I blog in the morning, but I grab whatever time I can. I need to do better on that, cause I'm falling down on my job!

6. From rach:
What song can you relate to your personal life? Share a line or two of that song.
Hmmmm... "Everything is Beautiful"..."Everything is beautiful
In its' own way
Like a starry summer night
Or a snow covered winter's day
Everybody's beautiful
In their own way
Under God's heaven
The world's gonna find a way"

7. From sherle:
What is your favorite color for a sleeping environment?
Our bedroom had cream-colored walls and dark green carpet. I don't like vibrant colors in a bedroom, but as tired as I normally am when I get to bed, the colors don't worry me too much.
