Okay, I know that it's not good for you (and I do use sunscreen... some...) but my favorite things to do in the summer involve the sun and water. We have a pool (that is honestly SO MUCH WORK... highly advise not getting one unless you can afford to have someone else keep it up and/or you have kids...you'll always know where they are!! and all their friends too.) But, I love being in ours or reading next to ours.
The grandkids really loved it when they were younger. Unfortunately, they all live pretty far away and have incredibly busy lives, so they don't get down as much as they once did. The time they spent in our pool was well spent though - two of them are on the swim team this year.
And.. if I get tired of the pool... there's always the beach :-)
Honestly, y'all, I live in south Georgia, so if outside activities don't include water... you'll find me inside in the air conditioning. It is what it is.
I love spending time near water! Pools, lakes, or the ocean. They’re all great.

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine has a saltwater pool and I LOVE getting to dogsit for him during the summer. I get up, make coffee, get in the pool until it's time for work....and then after work it's right back in until it gets dark!
ReplyDeleteaugh, i so wish i had a pool but if i did yes i would be left to do all the dirty work. Not my idea of fun. Glad youenjoy yours though.
