Weekly Wednesday Blogging Challenge: What I Would Want on a Deserted Island

My husband (who does not blog) saw this topic and said what he would want was a book on how to build a boat so he could get off said island.

Me... I would be happy for a time with my ereader and a solar recharger. Life is so busy these days that I miss being able to just relax and read. When the kids were little, vacations were always busy doing things..going places. My idea of a wonderful vacation was a ton of books and a lounge chair by the pool. Rarely happened.

I guess I really should be practical and wish for things that would help me out on the island...matches for starting fire, hooks for catching fish.. but let's face it. I'm more likely to just eat the fruit I find than go to all that much trouble.

Maybe I should wish for some way to contact civilization when I'm tired of fruit and solitude. Or, maybe I will just wish for Wilson.

  1. Heh, your husband is a smart man.

Honestly, an ereader and solar recharger would be pretty high on my list, too.

    My post.

  3. Good list. I like the charger idea. Hadn't thought of that. I don't know. I think I wouldn't get tired of fruit, but then if that's it to eat... Hmmm.

  4. A solar charger and my laptop would keep me entertained for a good long while, even without WiFi - I have a bunch of movies on there, several of which I haven't even watched. Don't know how they'd get there intact, but if we're wishing... sure, why not?

    My answer is here.
