Kathryn returns to Av'lor after seven months on the Daemon home world, only to discover the Daemons have invaded Earth. With Av'lor on the brink of an uprising and an unknown enemy upon its doorstep, the knights divide their forces to safeguard both worlds.

Sir Lanclor, torn between his duty to Av'lor and his dedication to Kathryn, finds himself fighting a losing battle on Earth. He realizes the fate of both worlds rests in the unlikely alliance of technology and magic.

Overwhelmed by a new threat far beyond that of the Daemons, both Av'lor and Earth must face a devastating reality.

Enjoy an exclusive excerpt:

Kathryn’s silence when he placed her upon the ground worried him even more than the blood pouring from her side. His only comfort was the blazing sword warming his leg along his scabbard. Her power still flowed through his sword even with her unconscious.

Master Vetera pushed his way through the crowd of knights and knelt before her. "Did you have to bring the head? Mel’int ent’bel’ak." He managed to insult Sir Lanclor and assess Lady Kathryn’s condition all in one hushed breath.

They heard the rush of wings overhead as the Daemons circled above. He held his breath until the sound receded south into the distance.

"Yes, I had to bring the damn head." He drew his sword and carefully positioned it where the jaws met. With a slow sawing motion, he worked on cutting off the bottom jaw to free her side.

"You know, Sir Lanclor, she needs to understand the concept of working together." Master Vetera slid his hands over to Kate’s abdomen as the jaw popped free and blood poured from the punctures in her armor. "Lak’oth ent’me’unt." The bleeding slowed, but took a while to stop. "Going off on her own is suicide, especially with her last Sight. We both know her death would mean yours as well, so you have to keep her under control."

Sir Lanclor rocked the top of the Zahkrinon head back and forth, trying to loosen its hold on her bloody armor. "Keeping Lady Kathryn under control is impossible. You, of all people, should know that."

Master Vetera grunted his assent. "A woman should know her place—"

"Sir Lanclor! Scouts report one of the Daemon groups is on their way." Hal’s voice echoed above their argument.
