The Writer's View: Nana Prah

I’m so happy to be here on My World of Dreams. There’s nothing like dreaming, especially for a writer. Sometimes I think that’s where most of my work stems from. I was asked to talk about my writing space and I’ll tell you about both the inside and outside.

The inside isn’t anything impressive, not like some of the others I’ve seen. No, I’m not jealous (much). I own one little table and this is where I sit to write in my living room. The table has a matching chair which I’ve placed in front of a purple curtained window. I love my curtain. I’m not sure if you can see the silver threads that make up the flowers. The best thing about the curtain is that it doesn’t distract me. Not like the outside world does when I open the curtain.

Take a look at my view. Gorgeous right? I live on a mountain and the scenery is beautiful. Living in Ghana, unless it’s the rainy season, the sky is blue and the sun shines, calling me to come out and play instead of write. I can’t have that so the curtain has become my shield.

It wouldn’t do to allow the lovely fluffy clouds to cause me to daydream. I’d rather maintain focus and write, but every once in a while I open the curtain and gaze into the vast beauty of the place I call home, soaking in the splendor all around me. The ideas marinate and eventually flow out onto the keyboard. I love my view.

  6. I really love the fact that u believe in HEA! It's great to know that all authors are not following the cliffhanger formula so prevalent now!

  7. Life is so unpredictable, Elise-Maria, that the only place I can get stable is in a HEA book. And this is what I want for my readers, too.
