Monday Morning

1. If you were cooking dinner for a friend, what would you serve? (If you can, post the recipe!) WHY would you serve this particular meal for this particular friend? I don't know that I have a particular meal I would serve to a particular friend. I have several menus I like to cook when I have guests over. Ranging from simple, help yourselves "Brazilian hotdogs": cooked in a sauce of tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and garlic-- to spaghetti: sauce with ground beef, fresh mushrooms, tomatoes and garlic, tomato paste, red wine; tossed salad; hot, fresh garlic bread. (Can you tell we're fond of garlic in this family???)

2. How many hours a day do you spend blogging? What do you think about this number? If you weren’t spending that time blogging, what would you be spending that time doing? I am on the computer almost ALL THE TIME when I am home. Way too much, but this is where I work. This is where I have my community. Between writing, editing, working on LASR... I'm pretty busy and don't do much dedicated "blogging." As you can tell, I'm not even real good about updating my OWN blog...much less doing the visiting I should do. So, all told, I probably blog less than an hour a day. And, I don't mind that time. I DO think I need to arrange my time better so I spend less time at the computer over all. Somehow. I just haven't figured out how yet.

3. How much money is in your wallet right now? Do you carry a lot of cash on you? Why or why not? $13 and change. And.. no, I don't carry a lot of cash. Debit cards have just gotten to be too easy. It's a shame, too, because I used to clean out my pocketbook every few nights and dump change in a change jar. We used that "found money" for all kinds of fun things. Now the level hardly ever moves.

4. What is your favorite day of the year? WHY is this your favorite day of the year? Now, what is your second favorite? Why is this your second favorite? I started thinking about this question. My favorite season is Christmas...but Christmas Day is far from my favorite. It always is so busy and almost anticlimatic (unless all the kids are home. Then it's fun... ) SO.. my favorite day of the year is Christmas Day when all the kids are home. It's fun having a houseful and seeing everyone's expressions as they open their gifts. When the kids aren't all home, it's kind of a downer.

My second favorite day is any day we leave to go to the shore :-) We love it down there and it's always fun to get away for a few days to relax and unwind.
