Do your reading habits change in the Spring? Do you read gardening books? Even if you don’t have a garden? More light fiction than during the Winter? Less? Travel books? Light paperbacks you can stick in a knapsack?

Or do you pretty much read the same kinds of things in the Spring as you do the rest of the year?

I don't know whether it's because I live in the Deep South or not, but I've never noticed a change in my reading habits. I can imagine if I lived in the north, where I was forced by the weather to be inside for long periods, I might choose a larger tome...just because of having a lot of forced inside activity, but I don't shy away from larger books even in the summer. I just tend not to take them with me when I go places. chanel handbags

I am always in the middle of multiple books. I carry a book with me EVERYWHERE. I have one on my bedside table. One in the "family library" ;-) and I have a stack of books TBR for review next to my recliner in the den.

We have some exciting plans coming up for LASR in the near future, so keep an eye out.

My friend, business and critique partner, Marianne has received some exciting news. She has been offered a contract for another novel from Samhain! Go and tell her congratulations. I know it won't be long before we'll be seeing something like this in the stores:

Marianne's daughter was born. And, so was Barbara Streisand. Happy Birthday to them both!

Hi, Happy Thursday to you too. I love Barbara S. I don't think anyone can sing quite like here.

Thanks for visiting my blog! It's always fun to make new book blogger friends...such like-minded folks! ;)
I do like to read a Christmassy book at Christmas time (I can't imagine reading about Christmas in the middle of August). But my holidays don't always have to match up with my reading.
    Happy Thursday!

  3. I don't make huge changes in my reading schedules either but I like to read more gardening books. Happy BTT!

I suppose one advantage of having more than one book on the go must be that you can choose which you take out with you. For single book readers like me, this can be a real problem if you happen to be in the middle of a hardback family saga.

  5. I've lived in the freezing north (Vermont) and that didn't change my reading habits either except that I read more but not what types of books I read.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment today. Take care.

  6. Interesting! I never thought about extreme weather (extreme heat) would change one's actual, physical habits!

  7. Aww...thanks, partner/partner/partner, LOL...

The contract was for a short story, not a novel this time. Alas...

I admire people who can read multiple books at the same time, and actually get through them! Happy BTT... and I absolutely love your quote about reading and chocolate!

  10. Judy, I am the same way. I have too many books going at any given time. I don't notice that much change during the Spring, either!

Happy BTT! Thanks for stopping by!

  11. I have to say that my type of book doesn't change with the seasons... maybe because we don't really have more than two seasons here. I do have more than one going at one time. Usually at least one for review for LASR one for WC and a couple just for me (but you may see a review if I really liked it... lol). DH laughs at me as I have several books with bookmarks partway through and he's not sure I'm reading all of them... I am he just doesn't always see it.

  12. I wanted to say in regards to your makeup comment on Sunday... no you're not the only one who can't leave the house without at least a little bit on. :-)
