I Would Like to Thank.....

...no, not the Academy this time, but my dear friend, Marianne Arkins for awarding me with The Power of Schmooze" award.

Here, direct from the source is what this award is all about:
Schmoozing as defined by Dictonary.com is the ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection.” When it comes to blogging, schmoozing is your ticket to making new friends, getting yourself noticed and building a reputation. Some bloggers are gifted with the ability to effectively schmooze and others not so much.

I have to say I'm truly honored, not only by the award, but for what Marianne said about me.

I have really enjoyed my time blogging. In the past couple of years, I've made some wonderful new friends from all over the world. I would like to pass this award on to a few of them.

The first blogger that comes to mind who really epitomizes the spirit of schmoozing is Kailani of An Island Life. She spends her time working on building community through networking, contests, swaps, and awards. She sponsored a Valentine's Day Goody Swap" and the Bloggy Hoss Awards. These are only two of the things she has done to help bring the blogging community closer together.

The next recipient I met through the Valentine's Day Goody Swap". Jill was my "draw" for the Swap this year and we have really become good friends during the past six months. As a matter of fact, we have plans to meet up in Savannah in the not TOO distant future, and I can't wait. She's one of the best about following up on comments and visiting. She is richly deserves this award.

Thank you both, ladies, for making my blogging experience more fun!
