Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge: Books I Had to Read in School and Liked

Today's topic: Books I Had to Read in School and Liked
The short answer: all of them

The long answer:

I'm a reader. I've always been a reader. My first memories are holding a book in my hand. I read EVERYTHING. A book not handy (or allowed) at breakfast? There's a cereal box. Can't read in the car as a kid because I get carsick? Lots of billboards to read (and now I love audiobooks).

My favorite subjects at school involved reading. My favorite time of the day at school? Not recess, but silent reading time. (and, as a side note, one of my schoolfriends recently told me her best memory of me was sitting out on the playground reading... so.. there's that).

Were there books I liked more than others? Of course there were. But I have no memory of ever hating a book I was assigned to read. It's a book after all :-)

  2. That’s awesome, Judy! If we had been in the same grade, I would have read right next to you. :)

  3. I honestly have trouble distinguishing between the books we were assigned and the ones I read on my own. If I enjoyed 'em, that was it!

Cool! I had favorites and least-favorites by age six, but cheers if you were able to like all of them.
