I wish I could say I have a steady writing place. Honestly, I’m a bit fickle about my writing space. Or, maybe it’s just that my life is a bit hectic in general.

I do have an office that is meant to be my writing space and I do write there on a daily basis. That space has my desktop and printer, but it also houses my sewing machine, serger, and embroidery machine (all of which get very little use nowadays). It also had baby toys and a guest bed that typically hosts one or more of my dogs as I write.

It’s a nice space for writing, with a view of our front yard and the deer that live in the woods across the street. But, a lot of my writing takes place elsewhere. It tends to happen in fits and starts throughout the day. That’s probably why I write most of my scenes in my head and then spit them out onto paper when I’m given the chance.

I often write in five to ten minute snatches sitting on the floor with my nine month old playing with toys next to me and my three year old tucking her babies in for naptime on the floor around me. For those writing sessions, I write on my chrome book. Until the nine month old tires of whatever toy he’s got and reaches over to see if my chrome book might taste yummy to chew on. It usually does, in his opinion.

In the evening, I often want to sit in bed with my husband while he works instead of holing up in my office, so I move my laptop in there to write. With the TV on and my husband there to distract me I don’t get a whole lot of writing done in the evenings.

When my son starts school, I’ll probably go to a more conventional schedule, writing in my office in the morning and then putting aside my writing for family time in the afternoons and evenings. Until then, my chrome book, my very patient children, and my saint of a husband are my life savers. They’re the reason I’ve been able to write at all.

To keep her, he'll have to gamble it all!

Andrew Weston and Jill Walsh had to be the two most unlikely people to fall in love. When Jill's first husband's love for her simply fizzled and died, Jill knew she'd never trust that love could last again. After Andrew's first love betrayed him in the most brutal way possible, he knew he might fall in love again someday, but there was no way he'd ever make himself vulnerable again by confessing those feelings if he did.

Fate had a different ending in mind for these two, though, and when Andrew discovers his love for Jill, he knows the only way to get her to stay with him forever is to offer her an iron clad penalty clause in a prenuptial agreement. He stays with her forever or he loses everything he owns. The millions he's worked for, his property, his cars, everything. Now he just needs to hope that's enough to hold onto Jill forever.
