Fun Fun Fun in the.... Rain?

First, birthday wishes to my friend and business partner, Marianne. Go over and wish her a Happy Birthday. I would love to have her comment box fuller than it's ever been...so, Friday Feasters, go say hello and grab a cup of coffee while you are there.

And, there's still time to vote for LASR in the P&E Poll, not to mention time to blog about our New Year's Contest and get your name in the pot. The drawing for the autographed books will be this weekend.

What is your middle name? Would you change any of your names if you could? If so, what would you like to be called? My middle name is Ann. And, the only name I would change is my middle name and that would only be to add an "e", because I'm like Anne...it just "sounds" prettier.

If you were a fashion designer, which fabrics, colors, and styles would you probably use the most? Even though I'm a jeans kinda girl in real life, I love soft fabrics, so I would probably use silks and rayons... blues, reds, and blacks... and loose flowing styles. What a contradiction, huh?

Salad
What is your least favorite chore, and why?Can I say all of the above? I guess my least favorite is folding up the laundry and putting it away. I don't know why... unless it's just so boring. I normally dump my clean laundry on my bed and eventually turn on the TV back there and find something to watch while I fold.

Main Course
What is something that really frightens you, and can you trace it back to an event in your life? Through the years, I've worked through this one and now I can handle it, but I have always been terrified of getting injections. To the point that when I was a kid and had to get a booster, I remember one time it took my mom and three nurses to hold me down while the doctor got ready to stick the needle in my butt... and even then either my muscles were so tensed or I ended up kicking the needle (my recollection is fuzzy on this point) the needle actually bent. Maybe that's when they held me down. And... when all the kids in school were getting tested for TB, I was so hysterical they didn't give me mine and Mama didn't find out for ages afterward. The cause: when I was little, my father was stationed in Morocco and I had been given a puppy. The puppy bit me right beside my eye. Since the puppy was too young to have had his rabies shot, since he was from the village not the base, and since the bite was so close to my brain, the doctors decided they didn't want to wait... so at the age of three I had to go through the rabies series of shots. I understand things are better now, but back in the late fifties, this was daily shots in the abdomen with a large needle for three weeks.

Dessert
Where are you sitting right now? Name 3 things you can see at this moment. In my recliner with my new laptop (thanks again, HP!) I can see my husband sitting at his desk, the television set, and our pair of parakeets.

If you've never played Fridays Feast before it's fun. Come and join us.

No fear of needles here, but shots for 3 weeks long day in day out I guess I'd pass as well.

  2. Oooh, the needle story had me cringing - you poor thing!! I'd be terrified, too!

And I'm SO WITH YOU on the laundry thing. What is up with that? I don't mind doing laundry, but when it comes to folding ... well, I don't. lol My guys usually have to pick through the (clean) pile on the floor and I only fold them and put them away when the hubby starts scowling. We go through this every week, lol.

    Have a great weekend, Judy!

Hi, Judy, thanks for coming by my blog,I'm not best at putting laundry away either. I don't mind injections now, but remember painfully an antibiotic injection when I had an ear infection as a child.

  5. I agree with your salad completely! I can't look when getting shots but I'm not afraid.

  6. I also dislike doing the laundry but unfortunately it has to be done. I also dislike doing the ironing and if I can get away with not doing it, that's better for me.

I was one of those that had to take weekly shots from the age of 5 to 20 so getting a needle is a piece of cake for me. Now if you say would I get a tattoo, heck no, that I'm afraid of.

Have a good weekend and enjoy your new laptop.
