Booking Through Thursday

Click on the button to play along

What’s your favorite book that nobody else has heard of? You know, not Little Women or Huckleberry Finn, not the latest best-seller . . . whether they’ve read them or not, everybody “knows” those books. I’m talking about the best book that, when you tell people that you love it, they go, “Huh? Never heard of it?”

And, folks–Becca was nice enough to nominate Booking Through Thursday for a Blogger’s Choice Award –while you’re here, why don’t you head over and vote for us, too. Because, a vote for BTT is a vote for all of us who play each week!

The first book that comes to mind is a book from my childhood. I found a copy at an antique store this past year (okay.. no comments about the fact that my childhood books are now antiques!!!) and reread it. Reading it from the standpoint of an author, now, ....okay, it's not the greatest book. But, when I was seven it transported me away and touched my heart. It was Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch, by Alice Hegan Rice.

What about you? Even if you don't play BTT, let ME know what your favorite book is.

OH.. and while you're at it... I have a short story up at The Long and the Short of It. And, if you've written a short story, why not share it with us? Just email me at lasreviews @ gmail.com (no spaces, please) and put "short story submission" in the subject line. I'd love to hear from you!

  3. The title is cute and I don't think I heard of it. Might check it out and maybe get them for a friend's kids.

I too, went back from my past to pick a classic book that I've read back than. I think going back to those times, can bring back good memories of old favorite books, and maybe books that no one have heard of before :)

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy BTTs! Have a good Thursday and good weekend!

I've never heard of that one either, but it sounds like a fun read for a kid. Maybe I'll get it for my son!
