Sister Mary Francis searched through every book they had in the small school library, or at least it seemed like it. Well, there was no sense in hunting further. Books on electronics were as scarce as hen's teeth around here. Nothing to do but return to the classroom and tell the girls there would be a field trip to the town library the next day.
She hoped the van was in working order this time. She wiped her dusty hand across her sweating brow and inwardly cursed (not for the first time) her inattention the the mechanical skill her brothers and father had. Every time they took that rattle-trap out, there was a good chance they would be walking. She'd better warn the girls to wear comfortable shoes, even if they were going into town where they might see boys.
Sister Mary Francis is an unusual nun.... Just saying.
