Welcome to this week's Five Word Friday writing prompt. The challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to use the following five words: see, count, calf, eject, deck
Sister Mary Francis groaned and rubbed her calf. It had been so long since she had a charlie horse that she had forgotten how painful they could be. She could see that rubbing it wasn't helping any. Rembering her basketball coach's advice, she stood on her tiptoes, stretching to the count of ten.
With a sigh of relief, she dropped back down in the deck chair behind her. She thought about the many hours spent here in the prayer garden, her eyes pricking at the thought it would all soon come to an end. She ejected the thoughts from her mind and focused on the brick cross enlaid in the stone walkway. Surely there was something she could do to help prevent the convent from closing.
