Welcome to this week's Five Word Friday writing prompt. The challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to use the following five words: Bracket Teacher Import Maze Moral
The teacher looked out over her class, her toes tapping on the floor. She stifled a sigh as the students attempted to discover the import of the brackets she had included in the maze puzzle. The moral of the story? Don't overestimate the intelligence of a teenager.
My brain automatically read "underestimate" and I couldn't figure out why you'd write it that way... because, IMHO, you shouldn't underestimate a teen (at least when they're trying to figure out something that matters to them...not schoolwork, lol).
ReplyDeleteStill wondering about the art from last week. Just saying.
This made me laugh. I used to teach high school.
ReplyDeleteYep, I taught high school art. The kids were more inventive than I ever thought possible. They'll find those brackets. :-)
ReplyDeleteTeenagers are very resourceful when they want to be for sure!
ReplyDeleteWow, how concise and to the point. Yes, given a chance teenagers will do great work.
