I feel like I should be channeling Maria von Trapp as I ponder this question... there is no doubt she nails a lot of them on the head:
And these days, there are some others:
I can also add books, the wonderful smell of baking, the equally wonderful smell of mown grass, the feel of my grandkids' arms around me in a hug (missing those right now), the feel of my husband patting me on the butt as he walks by.... these are a few more of my favorite things!

As far as scents go, baking bread has to be the best ever. And now I want to bake bread...
ReplyDeleteLoved the update version of the song! LOL!
Yes, the scent of baking bread is amazing.
ReplyDeleteHa! I had this playing in my head when I wrote out my post. Great minds. I love the smell of baking bread, but the smell of pickles always makes my mouth water. I don't know why (I love dill pickles), but it does.
ReplyDeleteSo funny, I have had that song stuck in my head ever since I looked at the topic for this week. I think it's starting to drive me batty. lol But I agree, she nails a lot of them on the head and I like the ones you've added, as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteUsed to live by a bakery, in the morning its wonderful, but in summer when its hot the smell's not so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteScents is a great way to go. Bread, baking, flowers.. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI got a laugh when I read today's prompt as The Sound of Music was my husband's favorite movie. <3
ReplyDeleteLove your list though - it's always the little things!

Funny I had that song stuck in my head the whole time I was writing the blog. Even considered a couple of the GIF you did. LOL Enjoyed your list. Thanks for sharing! Here's mine. https://www.tenastetler.com/a-few-of-my-favorite-things-lsrs-weekly-blog-challenge/
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great song for this post, haha. But, I love your list! The smell of baking is such a wonderful thing, it's one of my favorite things too!
ReplyDeleteI love the Sound of Music!!
ReplyDeleteI worked at a bakery in college and it did smell good. Plus, we got free loaves of leftover bread which came in handy on a rather tight budget.
Love your list! Thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteColletta
Wonderful list! I'd add that particular small that fills the air after a rainstorm ("petrichor," it's called) but I love your list of scents -- and books, of course books.
ReplyDeleteMy response is here.
I'm not a baker, but I do love the smell of baking bread.
ReplyDeleteThe smell of baking is one of the best!
