I honestly don't have any real rhyme or reason for choosing which book to read next, with one caveat. If I start reading a series and I REALLY like it... I tend to read several (if not all) the books in the series. I binge read just like I binge watch TV series. I had checked out Outlander from the library...over the next weeks, I had read every book in the series. Now I'm caught waiting...sigh.
I'm currently listening to books in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar universe - I started with the The Collegium Chronicles and am almost finished with those (I'm on the next to the last one).
When I finish these? Who knows... I have bought several books recently. It will be the one that catches my eye at the moment :-)
What about you?

It's always whatever catches my eye. Lol! Good post! I'll have to check those books out.
ReplyDeleteYour answer makes perfect sense! :)
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than a series of books to keep you entertained for a long time. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteBinge reading a series is the best. I recently binge read some of Sarah J. Maas's books and I'm looking forward to the next one coming out soon.
ReplyDeleteI've been known to binge-read a series, but it all depends on my mood and the season. Great post, Judy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I hadn't really considered the binge-reading angle - "What's next in the series?" is an excellent consideration. My answer is here.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you if I find a series I really like, I will get and read them all not necessary in order. I'm bad about that. Thanks for sharing. Here's mine. https://www.tenastetler.com/how-i-decide-what-to-read-next-lsrs-wednesday-blogging-challenge/
ReplyDeleteMercedes Lackey! I haven't read her in a while.
ReplyDeleteI do like a good series, though I haven't found a new one in a while.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the series thing! Sometimes you just NEED to know how it all ends.
