Hi! Thanks for having me at Welcome to the World of My Dreams! My post is all about my writing space. I'm lucky in that I have my own office. In addition to writing, I work from home as a freelance editor, so a space of my own is really necessary! I've got my laptop, giant desk, printer, three bookcases full of both fiction and reference books, a light box to make gloomy Midwestern winters bearable, a space heater, exercise bike, and lots of fun stuff too. My pictures focus mostly on the fun stuff. Who needs to see another picture of a desk, right?

First up, I have a little desk decoration my nine-year-old son made for me. It's a copy of the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria, Germany, made out of Nanoblocks. Believe it or not, that tiny castle contains more than 500 pieces. He loves to build anything, really, but I requested this piece for my desk because my family hails from Bavaria and I'd love to visit some day.

Next is a shot of my bookshelves, featuring my Jane Austen action figure. It's complete with a writing desk and a tiny book. Beneath it you can see a whole slew of my Nancy Drew books from childhood, and behind it are assorted books, including some of my favorite writing craft books. I highly recommend Manuscript Makeover (Elizabeth Lyons) and Self-Editing for Fiction Writers (Renni Browne and Dave King) for authors learning how to revise their manuscripts.

One of my favorite buttons, and it's true!

My official author badge from my first author signing, at Lori Foster's Reader/Author Get-Together. Seeing it gives me a pick-me-up on those days when writing isn't going well.

The view from my office window, taken a couple of weeks ago. Believe it or not, there is a pond and children's playground underneath all that snow. It's not normally quite this arctic. Thank you, polar vortex!

That's my workspace in a nutshell. Thanks for having me here today!

About the Author:
Linda Morris is a writer of contemporary romance. She writes stories with heart and heat, along with a joke or two thrown in. Her book Melting the Millionaire's Heart was an Amazon Top 100 Series Romance bestseller.

When she's not writing, working, or mommying, she's doing yoga, reading, working in her flower garden, or baking delicious things she probably shouldn't eat. She believes that there are two kinds of people: pie people and cake people, and she is definitely one of the former. Her years of Cubs fandom prove she has a soft spot for a lost cause. A beat-up old copy of Kathleen Woodiwiss's Ashes in the Wind was her gateway drug into the world of romance novels, and she's never looked back.

Linda loves to hear from readers. You can tweet at her @LMorrisWriter, visit her on Facebook, or swing by her website at www.lindamorrisbooks.com.

Carolyn Hart has excelled at one thing her whole life: looking good. She's always had the beauty, the style, and the attitude to turn heads. But making her own way in the world turns out to be a lot tougher than getting electing homecoming queen. She has no idea what she wants to do with her life, her credit card balance is becoming self-aware, and her love life is DOA. And now her boss at Horizons, a school for kids with special needs, has given her an unwelcome assignment: to work with a cartoonist to create a kids' book as a fundraiser for the school.

Former troubled kid Mason Dixon would do anything for the aunt who took him in after his parents gave up on him. But when he offers to illustrate a kids' book as a fundraiser for her pet cause, he winds up taking on way more than he bargained for. The gorgeous teacher's aide he's assigned to work with challenges him at every turn and makes him wonder if there's any line he won't cross for her.
