Booking Through Thursday

Click on the button to play along.

Quick! It’s an emergency! You just got an urgent call about a family emergency and had to rush to the airport with barely time to grab your wallet and your passport. But now, you’re stuck at the airport with nothing to read. What do you do??

And, no, you did NOT have time to grab your bookbag, or the book next to your bed. You were . . . grocery shopping when you got the call and have nothing with you but your wallet and your passport (which you fortuitously brought with you in case they asked for ID in the ethnic food aisle). This is hypothetical, remember….

Well... this is a no-brainer (unless the airport doesn't have a bookstore!) I go buy a book!! Now... if this is an airport that (shuddering at the thought) does NOT have a bookstore...I see if I can find some paper and a pen and I'd start scribbling my own story. Probsbly starring the people around me.

I found out about a new challenge from Melli. Seems there's going to be an alphabet challenge over at Quilly's Pacific Paradise. I take a lot of pictures, but don't ever remember to post them here. Hopefully, doing some of these photo challenges will help me remember to post things.

From Quilly's site:

Once again — here is my own project announcement: commencing May 1st and running 26 days, I will be doing Alphabet Photos. Day one is A. Day two is B. Day three is C. Etc. (Just what did you expect from a Pre-K teacher?!) I would love it if you would join me! Please, please say you will!

Marianne has started a new contest. Our friend, Allie, is celebrating the print release of TWO books this month. And.. they are great. So, enter Marianne's contest for a chance to win one of them and buy the other (or both if you don't win the contest!)

  1. I didn't do the BTT because it WAS a no-brainer. I can't imagine anyone answered differently, LOL.

    Looking forward to your pictures!

  2. Thanks for dropping by my blog. I hadn't thought of what would happen if there was no bookshop (or it was shut!) But I think making up a story of your own is an excellent idea.

Happy Thursday to you too! I love your answer. What a great idea. Start writing your own story.

I wouldn't have even bothered to look for the airport bookstore. I would have started writing my own story immediately -- and I wouldn't have had to look for paper because my laptop would be with me. Where I go, it goes. My camera, too, but writing stories about strangers in the airport is less apt to get me punched in the nose then taking photos of them.

Find a bookstore, otherwise, try to buy a magazine or newspaper - that's what I will do, I think. Anyway, first time I came across BTT. Interesting! I too have my own weekly meme and things like this can really be fun. :)
