How are you today?
Today I am tired. We've had two rough days at work. Did you see the size of that stump yesterday? And, today we have to take out some more stumps, finish cleaning up a HUGE tree job, and give two estimates. On top of that, I have to finish the author interview for LASR (we're interviering Sandy Blair next week and you don't want to miss it.
Soup
Name 3 television shows you watch on a regular basis. We don't watch a lot of television. And, nothing on a "regular" basis. We do enjoy watching Law and Order in almost all its incarnations (I've been unable to warm up to Criminal Intent. I also enjoyed Midsomer Murders before Biography took it off. I like British mysteries, and we watch (or record) Mystery!. We record a lot of old movies and shows we enjoy so we can watch them when we get time.
Salad
What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced? Hurricane Fran in 1996. I was living near Raleigh at the time and was awake during the storm. A tree broke in our backyard and came through the window of my son's bedroom. He was asleep in the bed and the limb missed him by about a foot. He slept right through it and didn't wake up til I picked him up and put him in my bed.
Main Course
If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be? Ireland, hands down (that is, if Bob was to be transported with me)
Dessert
What do you usually wear to sleep? Uh... the pajamas I was born in :-)

Welcome to the first edition of Aloha Friday - The Meme.
For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, Aloha Friday is a very popular term used in Hawaii. It’s basically a day where we take it easy and look forward to the upcoming weekend - kind of like T.G.I.F. In keeping with this idea, I thought I would have an Aloha Friday on my blog as well. No long posts, no deep soul searching revelations . . . just a little fun.
To accomplish this, I’ll be posting a simple question or topic of conversation and then opening up the comments to you. If you’d like to join me, just post something on your blog with your own question and then sign the Mr. Linky below. Then we can all go around and visit each other. Simple, huh? (BTW, you can still answer the question even if you’re not participating.)
As an incentive, I’ll be giving away a 2008 Hawaiian Pictorial Wall Calendar to one random participant. The winner will be announced on Monday.
Here’s this week’s question:
What one special talent would you like to have and why?
All I wanted was to sing to God. He gave me that longing... and then made me mute. Why? Tell me that. If He didn't want me to praise him with music, why implant the desire? Like a lust in my body! And then deny me the talent?--- Salieri in Amadeus
You Are A Lily |
You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist. People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you. You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words. Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize. |
Take a rest. I'm sure you will get better after:) Happy FF!
ReplyDeleteMines up as well;)

Thanks for playing along!
