We're in Florida on a well-deserved getaway. And, wouldn't you know it? It turned off windy and chilly after a week of 70 degree weather... just in time for us to get here. The locals accused us of bringing the cold weather with us... and they may be right. It seems the weather is perfect down here the whole time we are up in south Georgia slaving away... but just let us take a couple of days off to come to our home-away-from-home and what happens? It gets cold (well, cold for us... I know all of y'all up north have it a LOT colder than we do... but there's a REASON we live in south Georgia!!!)
Anyway, I got together with a bunch of friends and was telling them all about the new book. Boy, did I ever get some loud comments. I recorded them, so you could hear for yourselves what they were saying. What do you think? Are they right or wrong?

Yep, pretty loud indeed. Hehe ...
ReplyDeleteBe glad for the chill ... it's almost heatstroke galore here in my country ...
Where in FLA were you? We left Venice on Friday and it was bee-yuu-tee-ful! Even brought some of the sunshine back here to Chicago. Yee ha!
ReplyDeleteeverytime we go to FL the weather is not what we are expecting. we went for Christmas one year (I was expecting) and it was 75 and raining the entire time...I only had winter maternity clothing.
ReplyDeleteOh and now even if we go in the summer all the buildings have the AC blasting way too cold for us.
Glad you had a good trip.
No complaining about the weather: we got WHOMPED by a Nor'easter this weekend (well, Friday night) that dropped EIGHTEEN INCHES of snow on us. After teasing us with 70 degree weather, that was just wrong.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll move in with you next winter :-)
Thanks for the video clip. I keep closing my eyes and playing it, retending I am on a beach somewhere instead of the frozen north.
ReplyDeleteAh, too funny. Good for you enjoying some sunshine! Pass some up this way, will ya?
