Me, 3 Word Wednesday and a Meme

I almost forgot. Today is Wednesday and, courtesy of Bone, here is:

Three Word Wednesday.

Each week, I (Bone) will post three (or more) random words. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write something using all of those words. It can be a few lines, a story, a poem, anything. This is a writing exercise. It doesn't have to be perfect. The idea is to let your mind wander and write what it will. I'll also attempt to write something using the same three words.

Leave a comment if you participate.

This week's words are:
Tile
Scarce
Lieu

Jennifer lay the small tile down on the floor and sat back on her haunches. With a sigh, she looked over the mosaic taking shape. Swirls of beige, rose and blue outlined in bits of silver. Surely this would suffice in lieu of payment to him. A one of a kind mosaic floor courtesy of Jennifer Rhodes. The days nobody contacted her for a commission were scarce as the proverbial hens' teeth. A chill passed through her, though, at the memory of the darkness in his eyes. She sent up a quiet prayer that this was all he would demand.

And, I picked up this meme from Renee.

And since I read the meme, I think the rules are that I must do it now. LOL, I think I somehow got trapped into that, but what the heck! :P

I enjoyed Angels & Demons much better than The Da Vinci Code. If you liked that book I recommend A&D, same main character, lots more action.

  8. Thanks for participating in 3WW! Sorry I'm late getting by this week.

Very descriptive, and left me wanting to know more about the characters and story, which is a good thing.
