Appetizer
If you could have a free subscription to any magazine, which one would you like to have? Probably Writer's Digest. It's one that I try to stay subscribed to because there's good information on it.
Soup - Describe your living room (furnishings, colors, etc.). The living room we use the most (we have another that used to be a carport that was closed in before we bought the house, but we don't use it much) is paneled (that is on our list of updates for the house), with a ceiling fan and the ugliest lights you've ever seen (not really, but they don't really fit with out decor) flanking it on either side. On the east wall is a brick fireplace with a cast-iron, wood-burning insert that we use constantly when it's cold. There are three large windows overlooking a small pond that's across the street. Most of our tables are wood and black-cast iron (or cast-iron-looking). We have a black leather sofa and two blue recliners. They face our "entertainment center," which is flanked on the right by my desk and computer. It's a long, relatively narrow room, but it's cozy.
Salad - What does the shape of a circle make you think of? Hmmm... I was a preschool teacher for so long that, unfortunately, the shape of a circle makes me think of a circle or "round."
Main Course - Name 3 things in your life that you consider to be absolute necessities. My family (first and foremost), internet connection (because how else can I connect with all of you?), and food (I like food... too much!).
Dessert - What was the last really funny movie you watched? This is difficult, because we don't watch a lot of movies and even some of the ones other people find funny... I don't see it that way. Hmmmm.... DH says Alfred Hitchcock's Birds but that wasn't intentionally funny and it wasn't funny at all when I saw it as a kid! I guess I'll have to go with the latest Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In a lot of ways, I like the Gene Wilder version better, but Johnny Depp's version grows on ya. And... it doesn't hurt that I like Johnny Depp in just about anything he's ever done.
Okay... your turn.

Your salad and main course were super. Being a teacher of youngsters I can understand how you came about putting it on your menu!!
ReplyDeleteMine's served.
Black leather couch...I want one, I want one!! I've been looking at leather couches for a long time....
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your feast!
Ahhhh ... I've only seen PART of the JD version of Chocolate Factory. I got to see the first 40 minutes of it -- 6 times! I was showing it in French class one day when I was subbing! The kids had just had finals and so were having a "free day" ... it's great for them - but not so great for the sub that has to watch the same part of the same movie 6 times! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat feast!!!
Hehe, I love food a bit too much also! Great feast. -Margie
