Green Sister 42

Janna's heart stopped at those words. She looked at her group of friends. There was no way she was going to allow them to be hurt because of her. It was not going to happen again. She could not lose anyone else she loved because of being the Green Sister.

She took a deep breath and turned to face Ann.

"I know that you know why I'm looking for you. Funny, I thought a lot of things about you in school, but I never thought you were a coward."

Ann narrowed her eyes. "What do you mean, a coward?" Her voice rose to a screech on the last word.

"Fighting this way," Janna responded, sweeping her arm in front of her. "In dreams. I always figured you for someone who would want the world to see the fight. For the world to be able to look at you and admire you for your courage and skill. Guess that just goes to show you how wrong you can be about a person." Shrugging her shoulders, Janna turned her back on Ann, mentally crossing her fingers that she had read her nemesis correctly and that she hadn't just condemned her friends to certain death.
