We'll be leaving in just a few to go to our town's "Hometown Celebration." It's a sort of big street party that happens (normally) the first weekend of December. The Christmas parade is mid-afternoon and right after that the celebration begins. There are arts and crafts vendors as well as food vendors that line the main street (which has been blocked off to traffic, of course). There are also trolley rides through the park that has been decorated with hundreds of Christmas lights and displays. It's a fun time and a chance to see people you sometimes don't get a chance to see.
