Made it to 10,000

... and I would break out the champagne and confetti, except for the fact that I'm 1/5 of my goal with only 1/2 the month left... (sigh)the numbers don't look good, even to a blonde who is arithmetically challenged.

We've had a lot of excitement around our house. We've been looking for a while into buying an Airstream travel trailer and found one we like in our price range, so we're going to pick it up this afternoon. I'm hoping to incorporate it and some of the trips we are going to take in it into stories, articles, whatever. Should be a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to it. The next toy we're going to buy will be a laptop so I can work while we are on the road. Maybe I can change my name to Charles Kuralt, or something :-)

Have a great day... I'm back to Fiona.

Finally Back

Not that I've gone anywhere, but I've been somewhat busy with life and with Fiona (my NaNo MC). I've got an idea of where I'm going and, thanks to my friend Pam, I've gotten some new ideas. I was really afraid that I was getting stuck. The story was resolving itself a lot faster than I needed it to. After all, 6000 words does NOT a novel make!

But, thanks to a question from Pam on our Forum at WVU, I've been able to come up with some ideas to throw a spanner in the works... which should slow down the course of the story. I hope anyway.

It's That Time

...so why am I still sitting here? I need to wake up the writing cells in my brain. Guess I'll just consider this my "morning paper," stream of consciousness stuff that may (or may not) lead to something terribly brilliant and erudite. At least, it gets my brain in gear and that can't be a bad thing. Looking forward to the challenge and to finding out exactly what will be going on with Fiona in the next 30 days. Hopefully, I'll be VERY close to the mark before Thanksgiving... otherwise my fingers will be sore the last three days of the month :-)
